I love looking at the world “through rose colored glasses”, seeing the glass half full, and looking for the silver lining. Doesn’t that seem to be the way our pets view the world, trusting and expecting the best from us, endlessly forgiving and always so happy to see us? They express the same spectrum of emotions as us – joy, expectation, excitement, curiosity- to name a few. Through my work with animals over the past 3 decades I have come to understand our furry friends almost better than humans. And I realize that I want to use my artistic ability to capture their personalities on paper.
About Me
The artistic influence of my hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, has always provided inspiration for my own art. I love letting my imagination go wild, creating colorful interpretive drawings of individuals, animals and nature. As a result, my pictures reflect a combination of several styles: Pop Art, Expressionism and non-Fauvism.
I hope my artwork brings you as much delight as I experienced in their creation.

I will create a custom portrait just for you. I draw in the pop art style using permanent and watercolor markers in vibrant colors. We will collaborate allowing up to 2 edits before the final drawing. You can choose to purchase just the digital image or have the original drawing shipped to you.
